Did you ever consider

just taking the strengths and bending them to your liking, taking the attractive parts of some conspiracy?  You might think some one thing comes in a package deal!  It doesn't.  You can always take what it is that attracts you and make it work out.  Otherwise, you'd be interpreting it as something totally different.  You should interpret what you like and find some way to make things make sense.
